As part of our 75th anniversary activities in 2021 it is a great pleasure for our Association to invite you to the multimedia presentation “CHINA DRIFTINGS” by the artist Catherine Gfeller on Tuesday, 26 October 2021 at the Swiss Re Headquarters in Zurich. After the multimedia presentation, the artist will discuss her artwork with the audience, followed by an aperitif.
Tuesday, 26 October 2021, 16:30-19:15
Auditorium at Swiss Re Next, Mythenquai 50, 8002 Zurich
Ms. Gfeller is a member of our Swiss-Chinese Association – French Speaking Region.
In 2016, she began a project on the role of women in Chinese megacities, which resulted in a large exhibition at the National Guangdong Museum of Art in 2018 in Guangzhou. The success of this show with a broad segment of the public encouraged her to pursue her project in other Chinese megacities: Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Representatives of the Swiss Embassy in China entrusted her with the task of revealing and interpreting novel aspects of a China presently undergoing tremendous change from the standpoint of an artist.
On 26 October 2021, Ms. Gfeller will present a selection of her artwork within and beyond the project “CHINA DRIFTINGS”
